Looking for Compassion in the workplace and beyond? Tune into the Compassion Project Show for igniting a compassion evolution. Year-end highlights!

Whenever I ask this question, it becomes apparent that most of us are struggling. Struggling with something, but struggling nonetheless.  You can see if on the roads: road rage feels like its at an all time high;  In the grocery store: people are self-absorbed, very unwilling to allow a smaller order to go ahead; incidents of violence in hospitals is up by 60%; we see people –humans—walking down our streets in various states of pain, limited clothing, often talking or shouting to someone who is not there. It becomes clear that we are a society struggling through trauma.

Even before the COVID-19 responses, the challenges of our modern society were showing stress and strain.  As a result of COVID however, we’ve all suffered through a global trauma. As such, we have become increasingly disjointed from each other.  The lack of grace and space is a direct result of trauma and an inability to care for ourselves as we struggle to understand what is happening.  In order to care for others, we must understand that we are in a state of institutional trauma.

Earlier this year, I partnered with a global producer, USA Global TV & Radio, to produce a live show: The Compassion Project.  In each episode we unpack the extent to which we all live in trauma, to the point that it has become institutionalized: a bit like death by 1000 cuts.  The idea is that if we understand what is happening, we can collectively move through and ignite a Compassion Evolution.

Here are some highlights from each show:

July – Michon Garemani, Trauma Coach

“Everyday is a new day, you’re living a uniquely experience”

August – Tracy Cram Perkins, author of Dementia Home Care

“My fathers wish was to be treated like a human during his remaining years”

September – Dr. Jennie Byrne, author of Moral Injury

“Moral injury is a request or demand that doesn’t make sense and goes against your values”

October – Seamus Correy, Chief Well-Being Officer & author The Gospel According to Seamus

"At the root of Institutional Trauma: the church"

November – Danielle Lord, PhD, Principal Archetype Learning Solutions

"Unpacking Institutional Trauma or Death by 1000 cuts"

·December – Sharry Edwards, Healing through Frequency

"We should all have the right to healthcare choice"

I am very excited to bring some fantastic guests in 2025!  Together, we can spark a compassion evolution.
